Paul Stutz was first introduced to skiing at the early age of 18 months, when he visited Mt. Norquay for the first time with his parents, Mayor John Stutz and Patricia Stutz.
Participating in his first race at age 5, Paul had Olympic dreams from the outset. Attending Banff Community High School, Paul excelled both off and on his skis; moving up the ranks through Banff Alpine Racers and the Alberta Ski Team. Stutz was accepted onto the Canadian Alpine Ski Team in 2001, and has raced as an independent athlete on the World Cup for multiple seasons.
