Mt. Norquay’s December Events

December brings a lot to be excited about, the ski season is in full swing, Christmas is around the corner, and there are sweets virtually everywhere. We’ve got lots going on to help you celebrate winter and finish 2018 off with a bang!
TUBE PARK OPENING
Friday, December 7, 2018
5 – 9 pm, 10 am – 4 pm Saturday
Done skiing for the day, but not yet ready to go home? Grab a bite at the Lone Pine and head over to the North American Lodge to pick up your Tube Park ticket. You might not have won the race skiing down the hill, but tubing levels the playing field – can you pick up more speed than your competitors? … we mean friends.

SKI DEMO DAYS
December 8 + 16, 2018
8 am – 5 pm
Investing in a new pair of skis doesn’t have to be such a hard decision. Come test them out and pick your best fit from the best brands in the business. Blizzard, Nordica, Atomic, Rossignol, Salomon, and K2 will all be on site with their latest and greatest! And, if a new pair of goggles is on the Christmas wish list, Smith Optics will have test goggles on hand for you to try, too.
SKI BIG 3 COMMUNITY SKI DAY
Saturday, December 8, 2018
8 am – 5 pm
Tis’ the season of giving and rather than gifting another pair of socks, give the gift of ski and feel good knowing all proceeds are going back into the Bow Valley community. Ski Big 3 Community Ski Days are a great way of dipping your toe into winter sports for only $35 and giving back to the Bow Valley.

FREE GIFT WRAPPING
December 17 – 22, 2018
9 am – 4 pm
There’s nothing worse than missing out on a day of fun to prep for the holidays. Bring your gifts to the hill and we’ll wrap them for you, so you can spend the day doing what you love.
Maybe you’re a little last minute and still haven’t done your holiday shopping. Stop into our retail outlet in the Cascade Lodge, show your season pass to get 10% off, and then we’ll wrap it for you! What’s more romantic than a warm embrace? Toasty-warm gloves and mitts from Scott and Kombi with a helmet and goggles to match from Smith, of course.
Buying for someone who has everything? Pick up your Mt. Norquay Gift Card and Big Drop Card and bring your friends and family out to the hill with you.

COOL2CARPOOL
Wednesday, December 19, 2018
8 am – 5 pm
New in 2018, the Cool2Carpool days allow skiers and boarders to get out on the hill for $50 per carload (everyone must be legally seated). Replacing the Toonie Days, $2 from every lift ticket will still be donated to a monthly charity, December’s charity is Santa’s Anonymous. Take the shuttle from the town of Banff for a $10 lift ticket (seating availability not guaranteed)
APRÈS CRAFTING FOR KIDS
Saturday, December 22, 2018
Lone Pine
3:30 pm – 5 pm
We are all for family time, but sometimes you need a little adult conversation. Drop your mini-me’s by the Lone Pine for après crafts while you grab a cocktail and appies with the grownups. It wouldn’t be Christmas without a “surprise” craft in your stocking, would it?
SANTA SHREDZ FOR FREE
Tuesday, December 25, 2018
8:30 am – 4:30 pm
It’s back! We’ve been waiting all year to see you in your Santa suits. Pull out your jolly red suit, don’t forget the beard, and head over to Guest Services to get your free lift ticket for the day. This fun-filled day deserves a spotlight, so share it using #mtnorquay and #mightyquay.
Remember, free tickets are only for those who are fully dressed up – all day long! Our ticket scanners will be looking for the costumes until the last lift.
TORCHLIGHT PARADE
Monday, December 31, 2018
7 – 10 pm
Ring in your New Year with Mt. Norquay. Trade in your black tie for a winter jacket and watch in wonder as skiers descend carrying their torches in the dark winter night. Station yourself in Banff to see this magical parade from town and then carry on with your festivities.
